The èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Ragin’ Cajuns made history by thrashing the then No. 23-ranked Iowa State Cyclones 31-14 on Saturday.
The victory gives èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø its first national ranking since Nov. 1, 1943. The Ragin’ Cajuns are No. 19 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll.
The win is the football team’s first over a ranked team while playing on the road, and the second-ever over a ranked team. èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø beat the No. 25-ranked Texas A&M Aggies on Sept. 14, 1996 at Cajun Field.
èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø will open at 11 a.m. CDT in Atlanta. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
