Study Abroad Programs

Currently, the Office of Study Abroad offers four short-term faculty-led programs during the summer in Costa Rica, England, France, and Italy. UL Lafayette faculty teach University courses and tailor the coursework for each specific destination. We also work with the colleges and departments on campus to provide field experiences, field research, and service-learning projects throughout the academic year.

Tuition and fees for international students vary depending on your level and course of study.

The University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø at Lafayette prides itself on offering a high-quality education at an affordable price for all its students, whether you are entering as an undergraduate, graduate, or non-degree-seeking international student. 

 

Tuition & Fees

Scholarships

UL Lafayette offers a number of scholarships for international students and can help offset the cost of attending the university. All children of alumni are awarded the and receive in-state tuition for the duration of their undergraduate studies.

On-Campus Jobs

Many graduate students who hold F-1 status work on-campus (20 hours per week) as lab assistants, research assistants, and teaching assistants. for more information.

Have questions?

Health Services on Campus

, UL Lafayette’s health clinic, is open to all students at the university. The clinic is located in the Saucier Wellness Center on UL Lafayette’s campus.

Hours may vary depending on holidays and semester breaks. You MUST make an appointment with the clinic to see a nurse.

 

Safety & Security

In cases of emergencies, the University has its own . You can contact ULPD at 337-482-6447.

There are also Code Blue emergency phones throughout campus that can be used to instantly call the University Police Department. The Code Blue emergency phones have blue lights.

All University Housing facilities have safety procedures in place, which students must follow.  These include marked exits and evacuation routes which are to be used in cases of emergencies. The evacuation routes can be found marked on maps on the back of the doors in the housing buildings.

The University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø at Lafayette offers special services for students who are parents. This includes special housing for parents as well as a daycare for your children.

 

Family Housing

There is also campus housing specifically tailored for students who are married or single parents. about applying for this housing and the cost.

 

Child Care

The Child Development Center (CDC) is a daycare located on campus. Here children can receive care and development for basic skills in subjects such as math, art, and language.

The CDC’s hours will vary or may be closed due to holidays or semester breaks. Students wishing to enroll their children in the CDC must submit an Admissions Request form.


 

The International Student Ambassador Program allows friendly and engaged international students to volunteer for events sponsored by the Division of Global Engagement. These events include academic, introductory, social, and extracurricular events such as:

  • new student orientation,
  • ceremonies, and
  • celebrations of cultural and national identity.

    Being an International Student Ambassador lets you showcase your individual talents and enthusiasm, as well as your dedication to UL Lafayette and the core concept of global engagement.
